CATS150 is a volume-limited supernova sample. We attempt to save and classify all local (<150 Mpc / z<0.0331) SN found in the ZTF alert stream. We try to save transients with a physical seperation less than 30 kpc from their associated NED LVS host galaxy (for z>0.01) or with a visible association with the host galaxy (for z<0.01).
Figure 1. Cumulative completeness for all saved CATS150 sources as a function of apparent magnitude. The sources used are filtered to be brighter than -10 in absolute magnitude (this removes some non-SN sources such as nearby classical novae).
